미국의 음료 제조사인 펩시코가 무인 화물 운송 기업인 가틱과 6월 8일, 북미 지역에서 자율주행 화물 운송 시스템을 도입하기 위해 계약했다. 이미 텍사스, 애리조나, 아칸소 지역에서 무인 트럭이 운행 중이다. 광대한 영토를 가진 미국에서는 물건을 잔뜩 실은 채 장시간 도로를 주행하는 트럭이 많다. 이제는 운전사가 없는 무인 트럭이 밤낮 없이 안전하게 달려서 빠르게 배송한다.
