Z세대는 무언가를 물어와도 빤히 쳐다보기만 할 뿐 대답하지 않는다고 해서 젠지스테어(Gen Z Stare)라는 말이 생겼다. 어릴 때부터 놀이터에서 뛰어놀기보다 혼자 게임이나 유튜브 시청을 하고, 특히, 코로나 대유행으로 사회적 거리 두기가 실행되면서 더욱 심해졌다는 얘기가 돈다.
사회성과 소통 능력이 부족해서 방어적인 태도에 기인한다는 것이다. 사회생활을 하면서 바뀔 수도 있지만, 젊은 소비자와 상호작용하거나 신입 사원과 일할 때 더욱 부드럽게 소통할 수 있는 방법을 연구해야겠다.
